Confirmation classes are held at 8:30 am on Sunday morning in the Media Room, lower level of the education wing.
The goal of confirmation is this, faith in Christ Jesus as savior. Faith is solely a gift from God. It grows in us as we daily walk with Him and as He leads us by His Word. This saving faith is then evidenced in our lives by the fruit which is produced by the working of the Holy Spirit in us.
The goal of confirmation is not just the acquisition of a set of facts about Jesus, but it is faith in the work of Jesus as Savior of the world and to help us in our daily life as called children of God.
As a tool to help us understand God's Word, at St. Paul we use Martin Luther's Small Catechism. This wonderful book helps us understand our faith and helps us to realize all that God has done for us.The Small Catechism is also a tool for the life of the Christian and can be used as a prayer book and as a daily devotional guide. We use this book because it helps us to define who we are and whose we are. It helps us to realize everything that God has given to us and continues to do for us.
